Runs perfectly on my Windows 10 gaming machine with no extra mods (not even compatibility mode). At that point, I finally went ahead and downloaded the file (I was not comfortable doing this). So dont expect to be able to just run it. All you have to do is paint on the terrain, build the cities, add some scenario objectives and win conditions, and you're in business. Then you expand your network, routing rail traffic, perhaps even buying up other industries, until you've got more money than Rockefeller and you regularly put the president on hold. It keeps crashing. Not supported any more but on my LAN, my kids are learning business decisions and rail management at an early age. But the patch 1.04 (see link above) works fine (also for my German version).No compatibility settings used. The interface can be a little trying at times, such as getting a train station into the right position. Only works up to patch version 1.04b.Versions 1.04 (included with coast-to-coast exp.), 1.05 and the inofficial 1.06 crash to desktop as soon as the main game menu is displayed.
